Hi all!
Nedd some help, I'm obviously doing something wrong.
I'm on dual sim Pie HTC, stock rom, latest TWRP, Magisk safety pass green.
But... Every time i flash Leedroid (or ViperU) through Magisk as module - my safety pass broke.
Can someone please point me to right direction?
One more thing, when in TWRP allways annoying password, need format data every time - then I loose everything, apps, root.. Nedd to install everything allover again.
I know I'm doing something wrong but I don't know what

TWRP on Pie? That's something new. I thought there isn't pie compatible TWRP for U12+
Maybe that's what's wrong. Try flashing through Magisk, but you need to RUU first

Yes, it's 3.3.1-0 version for Pie, but I realised now my firmware is 2.55.401. Security patch level 1.july 2019.
"Release 3.3.0-1 supports HTC´s firmware 1.68.xxx.y with security patch state of 1st April 2019."

I flashed Leedroid through Magisk if that you meant @donkeykong. I have to downgrade firmware to 1.68...?
Thanks for help BTW

1.68 is Oreo. There's no TWRP for Pie. For LeeDroid Pie you need 2.55 firmware and you need to flash the ROM via Magisk

how to make stock boot.img
Hi guys, please forgive me for asking such stupid question.
so the question is... how can i make my own stock boot image from scratch?
i got the Oreo 1.30.400.2 RUU, the 1.68.400.7 OTA zip and 2.58.400.1 OTA zip.
how do i extract boot image from and which version should i use?

Thanks!

Before installation, please make sure you have a STOCK boot.img on standby & you are running the latest Android Pie release with Magisk installed.

If you end up in a no boot scenario:

  1. Reboot to bootloader (Power > Vol- after the vibration)
  2. fastboot boot stock_boot.img
  3. Create a file on your internal storage called "removerom"
  4. Reboot
  5. Uninstall the remainder of the module in Magisk Manager

The above will remove the contents of /system from the ROM module and correct any troubles you may face.

Installation:
  1. Drop the zip on your device/sdcard
  2. Open Magisk Manager
  3. Go to "Modules" in the side menu
  4. Hit the "+" button
  5. Find the module.
  6. Reboot
  7. PROFIT!

Thats it..... the module is now live on www.leedroid.co.uk under the HTC 12 section.

Is there a way to prevent the camera app from switching to internal storage automatically? I really want to use the SD card for my pictures and videos, but it is really annoying to switch it back to external storage every time.

I have exactly the same drawback in stock (after turning off Viper in Magisk Manager after its failure). The internal memory setting automatically returns instead of the selected external one

Well, it'sa Pie bug, and it's unknown why it acts so weird. I'm testing a theory of mine, and it works so far. If it proves to be working, I will share it. If not, back to the drawing board
