[RECOVERY] fairphone FP1 (1st edition, repartitioned) CWM

Not on the wiki yet. See the corresponding thread

The ClockworkMod Recovery can be very useful whenever more ROMs are created for the Fairphone. Until then, it can be used as a backup tool; whereas the original Fairphone Recovery partition only allowed for the backup of data and cache, the CWM Recovery can backup everything (cache, data, system, boot,...)

The installation procedure shown is for Windows. If you are on OS X, the commands are slightly different:

How to install ClockworkMod Recovery

  1. copy the recovery to the device: ./adb push recovery-cwm-fp1-0.2.img /storage/sdcard0
  2. adb into device: ./adb shell
  3. become root: su
  4. flash to recovery: dd if=/storage/sdcard0/recovery-cwm-fp1-0.2.img of=/dev/recovery

The easiest way that I have found is to simply copy the recovery image to your Fairphone storage (path: /storage/sdcard0/), then open terminal and execute
dd if=/storage/sdcard0/recovery-cwm-fp1-0.2.img of=/dev/recovery

This also works for flashing the original Fairphone recovery back. It can be found in the binaries of the ROM download section.
