Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro (Also known as Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro 2), codenamed Mango, first available on 1st August 2011. There are different Version of the Xperia Mini Pro:

  • Tri-band (850 1900 2100 MHz) - Sk17a
  • Dual-band (900 2100 MHz) - Sk17i

Both versions are available in white or black colors.

The Xperia Mini Pro has the same 1GHz MSM8255 Snapdragon SOC and 512MB of RAM as found within the Xperia Arc and Xperia Play, so if you want a handy guide to how it feels on a day-to-day basis, those devices are definitely worth a look.

Entering Recovery, Fastboot and Flash modes

How to get into Recovery Mode

  1. Shut down the phone.
  2. Power on the phone
  3. Pulse the 'VOLUME DOWN' button while booting

How to get into Fastboot mode

  1. Unplug the USB cable.
  2. Shut down the phone.
  3. Hold down the 'VOLUME UP' button and plug USB cable. One blue LED should light up.

How to get into Flash mode

  1. Unplug the USB cable.
  2. Shut down the phone.
  3. Hold down the 'VOLUME DOWN' button (button to be confirmed !) and plug USB cable. One green LED should light up.


Incorrect Hardware Keyboard Layout

  1. Open "/system/usr/keyboard-config/keyprint.xml". (you can use any file explorer with root support or terminal emulator.)
  2. Find this line in the file: <script name="latin" keylayout="qwerty-en" />
  3. Replace with: <script name="latin" keylayout="{your layout}" />

{your layout} can be substituted for any item in the list below:
