Root / Recovery

To reboot into recovery mode, turn your Epic off. Hold down Volume Down, Camera and Power buttons. Use the volume buttons to navigate, camera to select and the back arrow to go back.

Key combinations

There are a few different key combinations available from completely powered down and one for when the device is booted: Recovery Mode - Hold [Volume Down], [Camera], and [Power] buttons. Your phone will display the recovery console... Download Mode - Hold [1] and [Power] buttons. Phone will display an android at work digging. Hard Reboot - Hold [Volume Up], [Camera], and [Power] buttons. This only works on some ROMs and Kernels but if it does your phone will immediately turn off and reboot if it is unplugged or will just immediately turn off if the device is plugged in.
