I failed twice with the TWRP method, (I know there has been some successes posted in here with it though) the fastboot flash method worked for me first time

Chainfire has done the business with an 'N' root with RC 2.7.0 I haven't tried any tests yet as I rarely root nowadays

I downloaded and tried to flash it but in TWRP is get that "Failed to mount '/system' " error and the system partition is empty.
I am also unable to flash TWRP recovery as well. I can only fastboot boot TWRP.
My process is as follows:
- fastboot -i 0x2970 erase oem
- fastboot -i 0x2970 flash oem oem.img
- fastboot flash boot boot.img
- fastboot flash system system.img

reboot

what a i doing wrong?

Thanks

Yep, recovery seems a little funky! I had to OEM unlock again for recovery flash to stick and it will boot. If I boot system, then recovery won't boot

The /system file-system has changed from ext4 to squashfs which is ro by default and can't be remounted.
TWRP is useless, since it has no squashfs support, so it won't detect the system partition.

So no way to root or flash anything in the rom?
