What should happen when you run
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
?
I get
"Warning: unlock will wipe all user data
Please confirm"
and then a blinking cursor.
The instructions here: https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_crackling skip that step.
I think I might have some driver issue.
Code:
fastboot devices
shows my device but
Code:
fastboot -i 0x2970 oem unlock-go
doesn't work.

When you root using this method, all user data is lost - basically after rooting you need to set up your phone again, but if you follow the instructions you should have a rooted phone

Hi everyone,

is it possible to root the Wileyfox Swift 2 Plus the same way or is there a different method?

I just bought it and can't run Titanium Backup, Adaway etc., because I was stupid enough to think that a Cyanogen phone might be rooted right from the beginning.

Well, maybe I just send it back...

Thanks in advance

When I install the nightly it works but whenever I try downloading superSU it doesn't boot, it just stays on the cyanogenmod loading screen.
[*]install supersu update zip from recovery menu (choose zip from extenal SD)[*]reboot and enjoy root access[/LIST][/QUOTE]

Well, I also bought a swift 2 plus but it hasn't arrived jet, but in the meantime I decided to look around the web about it and there is already a twrp port for it so I guess it can be rooted "the normal way". Also I think Google doesn't allow phones to be pre-rooted if they have gapps and what you currently have is Cyanogen OS, it is the business version of Cyanogen Mod.

Thank you. I rooted the Wileyfox Swift 2 with the method described in this thread and flashed the latest twrp recovery.
