hey there.

I just changed from an Acer e39 trisim (4.4.2) to this phone and I am using the stock CM OS rom (12.1.1/5.1.1).

My problem is that I cannot get my Exchange calendar to work and I am wondering if that is a problem with the Android version and/or the CM changes. I added my Exchange account under the accounts section in the android settings. Problem is it only shows me the option to sync my contacts and my mail but not my calendar. The calendar works fine in my old phone and also on my Nexus 7 (grouper, 2012). The Nexus is running the latest stock Android (5.1.1) rom.

As a temporary fix I have installed the MS Outlook app. That app does not use the "system" accounts but instead you have to setup your account "in-app". This way I can access my calendar. However I would really like it to work through the system-apps so I can use other calendar apps.

Can anyone confirm this problem or might even provide a fix for it? If this is not a special individual problem for me does the calendar access work in the newest nightlies of the cm mod (cm13x)?
thx

/edit:
okay I googled a bit more and found a thread on the CM OS Forums. The guy said just reinstall boxer mail. That by itself did not do the trick for me. I uninstalled boxer mail (need to delete your exchange account off the phone and remove security rights for that) then installed Google Inbox and then reinstalled boxer Mail and added my exchange account again. I un- and reinstalled those apps a few times but this approach finally works and my calendar is syncing right now.
hope this helps someone.

Could you point me towards that CM OS forum thread and elaborate a bit on how you removed Boxer mail? I can't find where to change the security rights for it (sorry, quite noobish question, I know )

I removed Boxer email just by going to settings / apps / downloaded / boxer / uninstall
I removed the Boxer calendar by opening the calendar app - it then prompted me to update it. The update link took me to the play store entry for the calendar, and the uninstall option there worked.

I added my exchange account into the gmail app, and use an app called Touch Calendar to view my (personal) gmail and (work) exchange calendars overlaid on each other.
