Hi Dave, did you download the stock ftf to your computer, and successfully establish connection with the flashtool? Please note that for installing the driver, you sometimes need to disable the driver signature check in newer versions of windows. Otherwhise windows will block the driver installation and connection with flashtool will fail. Anyhow, in order to guide you, more information is needed to know which steps are missing. Cheers

You need proper firmware for your device.
Find stock rom for Xperia L and then just flash it..... ( link for the rom is in the first link,scroll down in video decription)1

Purply it's not a bootloop ,because after flashing the reboot will take some time.
If you're sure that it's a bootloop then send the log .
