Omni is a community-based project for the Android community which is Free: Free to Use, Free to Modify, Free to Share. It's also about options, which is the beauty of Android. We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

Tutorial

Detailed Step by Step:

1. Ensure your phone have unlocked bootloader. If you haven't unlock it yet, follow this guide
http://xdaforums.com/xperia-u/issues/guide-beginners-how-to-unlock-t1971363

2. Extract boot.img from the downloaded zip.

3. Put the downloaded zip in the phone internal or external storage

4. Flash boot.img by using fastboot. If you are using flashtool, choose fastboot mode, turn off your device, then push volume up button while inserting usb cable to pc and phone, purple/pink LED should light up. Select boot.img from flashtool. Check the log to ensure it flashed completely

5. Unplug your device, then turn on the device. SONY logo should be appearing followed by multicoloured LED and vibration. After the vibration, push volume up to enter recovery

6. Make a nandroid backup if you come from a custom rom. If you are from stock sony firmware user, it is up to you to backup or not.

7. Choose wipe data/factory reset.

8. Now you can intall the rom. Choose the zip according to where you put the zip files. Flash in this sequence, rom zip, gapps, SuperSU

9. Reboot and enjoy!

Physical button fixed in build 2:).

Many cm feature is not yet merged into Omnirom source. Currently that is the best alternative to enjoy cm feature. By wifi direct, i meant the wifi transfer between device. wifi works. but if you accidently push the wifi tethering you need to reboot your phone to enable wifi back as it conficting with each other. Maybe fixed in the build 3.

I'm sorry, but phantom kernel is not supported for any 4.4 rom. Why do you want to use phantom kernel? I just tried phone call and searching contact, it works!

It is my daily rom right now. Based on my usage, i usually get 120++mb free ram. That is including whatsapp running in background. But expect keyboard redraw when using ram demanding apps:)

Edit: Bluetooth (send and receive) work fine. It pairs with other device quickly and get the job done

Last time i used gps, it work flawlessly. Give me another day or two to test it back. A2DP is depended on the work of other novathor developer. But i think the fix is nearer now:)

Ram management is quite bad in aosp rom for xperia go. Expect some app redraw. If you use IM apps such as whatsapp and other, i recommend you to use App Settings, an xposed module to lock these IM apps in memory. That way you will not miss the message:)
