How to flash Speedy Stock kernel??
  1. Copy it to your phone's SD Card.
  2. Flash Speedy Kernel zip via CWM.
  3. AROMA Installer will launch and then, you can select the options you want.
  4. Reboot and Done!!
    NOTE: in case it doesn't boot see post #33

  1. How to enter in touch recovery?
    >> Press volume up button one time just after LED flashes and vibration.

  2. Is this working on blah blah?
    >> I don't know. Do some research.

  3. Why I'm unable to flash kernel.
    >>Is your bootloader unlocked? Flashing kernel required a unlocked bootloader.

  4. Battery drains like hell. WTF?
    >> Not kernel problem. It's your apps that are waking up device from deep sleep.

  5. Is it pre-rooted ?
    >> Yes it is, It also comes with Superuser/SuperSu/SuperUser(ClockworkMod) pre-installed.

  6. Does this kernel has X or Y mod?
    >> Do some research. Check thread, repo, commits etc.

  7. Which governors/IO-schedulers to use?
    >> Depends on your usage. See here for more info.

  8. I lost speedy kernel after new rom installation?
    >> You must have flashed new rom contains kernel, flash Speedy Kernel again.

Settings to increase performance & battery life!!
System
  • Settings -> Developer Options -> Force GPU 2D Rendering (Get better graphics score for 2D graphics)
  • Settings -> Developers Options -> User Interface -> Windows Sale Animations -> 0.5x (Reduces lags if present)
  • Settings -> Developers Options -> Apps -> Background Process Limit -> 2 (Can use your own number... Gives you more ram other words releases ram)

  • Settings -> More... -> Mobile Networks > Network Mode -> GSM only (Saves battery)
  • Settings -> More... -> Mobile Networks > Data Enabled -> untick (Turn on from toggle when needed, saves battery)

Device
  • Settings -> Sound -> Vibrate on touch -> untick (Improve performance, saves battery)
  • Settings -> Display -> Sleep -> 30 seconds is more than enough (Saves battery)
  • Settings -> Display -> Brightness -> Auto brightness on with minimum brightness (Increase when needed from slider control, saves battery)

what is SIO, I mean when ppl talk about governers the write for example "interactivex+sio"
I put the interactivex governer and put 200-800 frequencies but what is SIO mean?

dude! big mistake! in the title of this thread it's says "stock" but in the headline (the first row) of your post is says "for cm9 roms"!
I just had to flash the stock rom and now I'm installing the all thing from the start!

Just tested.. It boots, works like charm.
It is for stock roms not for CM roms, hope you installed it on stock rom.
