I have xz2c since a few days and I want to install you omni rom. The how is a bit different compared to my z1c before but I got it installed.

But I cant use the touch screen (it is not working), which is a kind of essential for a smartphone.

I tried to install the latest omni (2019-04-22) with latest oem (v8). I also tried some older configurations (2019-02-22 with oem v7) and also newest and older aosp. Everywhere the same problem.

What information do you need that we can find a solution or if there is already a thread can you point me to this place?

After that I tried also to install the stock rom but newflasher crashes with:

Code:
[email protected]:/home/mfuhrmeister/xz2c/H8324_Customized DE_1313-6204_52.0.A.8.50_R2B# ./newflasher.x64

Optional step! Type 'y' and press ENTER if you want dump trim area, or type 'n' and press ENTER to skip.

Do in mind this doesn't dump drm key since sake authentifiction is need for that!

Thanks for your help.

I don't know why your newflasher runs amok (I use Linux mint 19.1), but the touchscreen error is sadly a rare special bug.

Just follow the instructions on the first side and make sure not to flash the twrp image directly on the boot partition.

TL;DR Flash the latest stockfirmware, boot it once, to update your baseband/mobile network drivers and then flash this OmniROM.
(I prefer and support only newflasher from XDA and xperifirm to download the firmware.)
Maybe this helps windows users:

Installation:

You mean we Should do the commands that are UNDER the commands too?
Did not find anything about TWRP on the first Page.
There are SO MANY questions that you have not golf us about in this guide. F. Eks. How I'm I fonna now what a FULL wipe is. And when i finally find it out, GApps don't work even Then.

You must explain mote in detail how/what we shall do... Not being mad, but frusttated. Took me 4 months to find out that Internal Storage is a part og full wipe and working GApps.

That's the omnirom thread, the twrp thread is in the same section of the XDA xz2 development topic.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xpe...overy-t3821597

I just wiped davlik, data and internal storage and flashed the pico gapps for ARM64 9.0 from opengapps.org and they just worked on my omnirom

the /data partition (userdata & internal storage) is encrypted by default, so the entire partiton need to get wiped if you switch the ROM (incompatible userdata) or downgrade to a earlier security patch level (google rollback protection since 8.0 and forced on all 9.0 devices)

Again, my mistake.
Ok, I'll try ond more time. Then I won't try before v9.

But seriusly, be aware to explain everything and ALL commands clearly. Don't leave something out. I am not an expert like you. I don't have the answers, bur you do. 😎
