So basically you're telling the WLAN stack not to allow the wifi hotspot scan to enter a sleep state where it stops scanning for wifi access when it's already connected to a wifi hotspot?

I too have this issue. WiFi isn't reliable, sometimes it works ok, but sometimes it just refuses to load anything. Hope Sony will fix that in an update.

I've applied this fix and WiFi still works I've noticed certain places where this phone drops signal but previous devices didn't, so next time I'm there I'll provide some feedback.

During my 4 hour sleep last night, my poor phone only managed 1 second of deep sleep. COULD this change cause this?
It may well be something else I've installed, is there any easy way to find out?

So ... even with this .ini change I have wifi drops. I would say same as w/o change.
Signal strength ca -80dB.
Was ok with old device (S2).
I am quite disappointed with wifi connection. Hope there will be some sw fix soon as it seems it connects but cannot hold weaker signal.

Could be also linked to the settings of the Wifi stack on the phone and the interaction with the Wifi settings on the Wifi access point.

I don't see worse Wifi signal on my XZ compared to my previous SGS2.
