I've tried this on a pre-rooted Z2 with 5.0.2 (running D6503_23.1.A.0.726_Customized AU)

Root works, but I can't remount /system rw.
I ran your fix, but it couldn't circumvent the RIC protection:

Code:

==============================================
=                                            =
= PhilZ Touch, CWM and TWRP Dual Recovery =
=           Maintained by [NUT]              =
=                                            =
= For Many Sony Xperia Devices! =
=                                            =
==============================================

1. Installation on ROM rooted with SuperSU
2. Installation on ROM rooted with SuperUser
3. Installation on unrooted ROM using the TowelRoot method
4. Install ADB drivers to windows
5. Exit

Please choose install action.

Does your guide work with 5.0.2 and I forgot to do something or do I have to downgrade to 4.4?

Thanks!

@mad_ady, I think you're mixing up things here... Install the latest xzdualrecovery to get it working, 2.8.14 is out for a while now...

Thanks for the advice. I had your recovery installed (probably an older version), but it got wiped after I updated the rom (from 314 rooted to 726 to preserve root). I'll look for a different rooting guide - can you recommend anything up-to-date? Thanks

Downgrade to a rootable kitkat version and then use this to flash a rooted lollipop. There is no known root exploit for Lollipop at the moment.

I've made root with Kingroot on my Xperia Z 5.0.2 Lollipop. Phone is rebooting since then with no reason. Especially it happens when the wifi is on.

If your phone has already been connected to this very computer, root access might already been granted in the past. To confirm, open SuperSU and check if an entry for adb is present, and if root access for it is granted. Then, just hit [ENTER] in that command window.

Hi everyone!

Does anyone knows if this will solve the M4 Aqua (A.2.167) rooted with locked bootloader rebooting problems?

I'm very sure it does not.
