I flashed the zip using my current TWRP (which is in the FOTAKernel partition) and now I cannot boot to recovery, it'll restart itself and try to get to recovery creating a bootloop. Any idea how to solve this?

Download the attached zip, extract recovery.img and put it in your sdcard.
Download and open Terminal then type
"su" enter
"dd if=/sdcard/recovery.img of=/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/FOTAKernel" enter, without the quotes ofc.
reboot to recovery.

Also, could you test something? I edited the default.prop of the recovery for dogo(5502), see if you get the assert error while flashing ROMs, that is if you want to.

Thanks, the terminal command worked flawlessly (I only needed to change sdcard to storage/sdcard1).

I installed your zip and downloaded the latest official cm12.1 nightly, no assert problems. I got the LTE version of dogo, but I guess "dogo" in the build.prop is enough to pass the test in the updater script.
