The zip doesn't have support for A/B partition. You have to install through the app. Put it in '/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/downloads/framework' then enable 'show outdated versions'.

Same here.
And it seems Flashfire does not work on Pixel.
(I am with Pixel 2 XL)

---------- Post added at 02:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 01:57 PM ----------

I see this from the log tab:
Cannot read log/data/user_de/0/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/log/error.log (No such file or directory)

Is the path the app reading problematic?

Move the ZIP file to the folder mentioned, force close the installer app, and then restart the installer. Now, it should see the downloaded file, and it will install just fine. I also enabled "storage" permission for the installer.

This works on pixel devices
Place the installer zip in the directory
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/downloads/framework/

So the full path including the zip I use for 8.1 on the pixel XL is
/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/downloads/framework/xposed-v90-sdk27-arm64-beta1.zip

And then re-launch the installer app and click on the installer and select "install" and it works!

Installed the XposedInstaller_3.1.4.apk,
gave the installer storage permission,
and downloaded xposed-v90-sdk27-arm64-beta1.zip to "/storage/emulated/0/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/cache/downloads/framework",
used installer to install the xposed-v90-sdk27-arm64-beta1.zip failed on my Google Pixel 2,
any solutions?
Thank you all!

Me too.
And I have tried install via recovery.
After reboot, no script is run. I reboot manually. And it shows Xposed is installed but not active.
