"XPrivacy pro license fetcher" is it safe? Is it open source?

I really love Xprivacy. But as one of the super paranoids who only uses open source apps on his phone, I have concerns about buying a pro license for Xprivacy. I'd gladly pay for the pro features, but not if that means, that I have to install a closed source app on my Android phone.

So is it open source or do I have to "trust" the developer or is there maybe a way to get a license on my phone without installing the fetcher on it?

I just took the risk and bought "a license" from the website directly and as it turns out, this will actually send a license file to your email account. You just need to put that file on your phone and Xprivacy will be Pro next time you start it. No need to install the license fetcher.
