Thanks for your kind reminder concerning the topic of this thread.

I didn't read 496 pages of discussions but since this is the only result when searching for "XPrivacyLua" I thought there could be a small chance to get help. But for my case I was obviously wrong. So I learned that I won't get help here.

@Namnodorel, @Fif_, @houmles:
Thanks for your replies

I see a lot of complaints with Samsung phones and EdXposed on the Gravity box thread with people sometimes able to overcome them. I don't follow these issues closely since I don't own Samsung but the problems are very often reported

See if you can find a solution there

Hello,

My question won't be very polite, sorry for this. But I can't manage to get Xposed on my Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact - Android 9. And for some reason I don't success to install EdXposed. So I'm not able to use XPrivacyLua (and I want it so badly...!)

But here the question : Does it exist another similar security application like XPrivacyLua that I could use while waiting a Xposed release on Android 9 ?

Thanks for your answer !

Your best bet would be a firewall app like NetGuard to selectively block outgoing traffic.

Good night,
Time has passed.

In the end, did you try "TrackerControl".
Any comments to my doubts?.

For all people who have a Xperia device (XZ2 and above) running stock Android 10 (rooted, ofc) and don't want to refrain from XPrivacyLUA: Have a look here to get EdXposed and XPrivacyLUA working.

Is there a way to get a field from an object if that object has a method with the same name? Using objectName.fieldName will just return the method with the same name. I've tried using the getField('fieldName') on the class but it just returns the error "attempt to call nil"

This will not be possible due to limitations of LuaJ.
