After installing Xposed Framework 89 using Xposed Installer from F-Droid on Meizu 15 Plus (Flyme OS 7.0.3.1A) it works, but can't get root access using /system/xbin/su (or another suid executables) from apps anymore. Going root works from adb shell though. Xposed itself seems to work.

Turning off xposed and rebooting does not fix the condition.

Retargeting /system/bin/app_process64 symlink back to app_process64_original instead of app_process64_xposed does fix the condition (although obviously xposed don't work).

Why can this happen? Is it a known issue? What debugging steps can be taken?

Additional info.
With app_process64 -> app_process64_original:

prctl(PR_GET_NO_NEW_PRIVS, 0, 0, 0, 0) = 0

With app_process64 -> app_process64_xposed:

prctl(PR_GET_NO_NEW_PRIVS, 0, 0, 0, 0) = 1

No wonder superuser does not work directly.

Does Xposed's app_process explicitly sets NO_NEW_PRIVS even when platform's default app_process omits it?

I'm having the same problem, too. My device is a Meizu M5c, Flyme 6. I had rooted by the default method, in settings > security > root access permission.
Before installing Xposed everything was working OK. I installed Xposed so I could use a specific module. Then I was no longer able to grant root permission to the applications. It seems that by installing Xposed the system was corrupted or something.
Does anyone know how to fix this?
