Are you using v88 by rovo? If so bootloop is normal, you must use v87.1 by wanam. v88 for LP and MM does not currently support Samsung.

So what? If it works do not change! Currently some modules need also updating for v88+.

Yes, you explained it pretty well. Though I'm fairly well versed in telecom it's always nice to go back to basics so to speak.

I had no issues installing Xposed on this device. Though now I've switched to Linage 14.1 I believe. So according to your experience, Linage has no major issues with Xposed? I know that some ROMS do and though I was familiar with the old CM, I'm only just now getting up to speed on Lineage from a low to mid level development standpoint.

I do have a good nandroid backup so it's pretty hard (though not impossible ) to brick the device beyond resurrection. That reminds me, I'd better get stock firmware while I'm here tonight.
