I found another ROM that supports the SGP611 'scorpion_windy' plus a few other Sony devices. It's called xOS, currently Marshmallow 6.0.1, seemed to be in active development but may have moved on to Nougat.
This is their OnePlus X thread - http://xdaforums.com/oneplus-x/development/6-0-1r46-xos-project-t3401868
This is their download page for the SGP611 'scorpion_windy' - https://basketbuild.com/devs/bangprovn/xOS/scorpion_windy

SuperSU is hidden when installed with TWRP but Cyanogenmod's root which is included in the ROM does work.
Everything worked for me expect for the magnetic proximity detector but that could be my fault. I'm going to wipe my tablet tomorrow to find out.

Going by it's thread on the OnePlus X forum, the speculation is that developer or possibly developers has moved on to Nougat. I'm trying out a different rom on my SGP611 at the moment but here's link to the oneplus x pix http://xdaforums.com/showpost.php?p=67393091&postcount=2 On my tablet with this rom, Magnetic Cover Sleep/Wake was broken and sound sometimes requires a reboot.
