Stock OTA method. I just went into settings, search for update, it redownloaded and I hit install.

After reflashing system image, I unrooted and rebooted and then installed OTA and it updated and booted normally without issues or data loss. Hope this helps.

how did you reflash the system image? I did the following:
-uninstalled busybox
-unrooted via supersu
-attempted to load the OTA from system update and it failed.

I managed to get it running by:
restoring all bloatware
unrooting
downloading the zip file from http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenf...k-rom-t3093999
renaming it to MOFD_SDUPDATE.zip
pushing it into the root of the SD card (if you have one or just borrow one)
enter recovery
Update should start automatically

NOTE: if it doesnt work then try copying the zip file with no name change to the root of the internal storage

I flashed the pre-rooted image in that thread. I then full unrooted from supersu, rebooted and applied update successfully.

im lazy, and at work. im doing an application backup and im just going to do a full system recovery and start from ground zero. its only 1 month of data (most of which is saved to the cloud anyways).

edit: nvm, that sounds like an extreme amount of effort. when i get home ill try sideloading.

Lol @ edit. The new update includes new GPU drivers I think or some other performance improvements. This one game (Witcher Battle Arena) would slow down on my phone and heat it up a lot and one map was super laggy due to particle effects and lighting.

Well, not anymore! Plays like a dream now on my Zf2 - great update, ASUS!
