Battery icon charging whilst phones off moves up and inside the battery correctly now ;)..still a bit small on the eyes..orange charge light..
Battery led charge light comes on green with fone on ..lights for approx 5 seconds then goes off till approx 94% ..I presume this is trickle stage charge with my fast charger..
noting the led stays lit on charge continuously with a lower rated charger..whilst fones on...
Testing..clean install

Just managed to flash the current version 7/30. Everything works pretty well (altho not for daily driver) except maybe for certain apps (i.e. Instagram doesn't show name when try to tag, camera is super bad), and the AC charging part. But, thanks to the dev who made this possible for Intel CPU to be included in Cynogenmod device list (altho not official yet, which I am sure to be once all bugs are solved). My hope now, will be device camera improvement. Thanks again bro!

Zenfone 2 4G RAM and 64Gb disk on Rogers W - Data not working

Hello All!

Well this is a review of my install of this unsupported CM 12, on my Z2 4G phone.

All I can say is that everything is working, and it is nice smooth and fast running with this mod.

The Only problem I had and it is a major one, no data on the wireless LTE.

It seems that the drivers are not fonctionning properly for that, cause we tried 2 SIMS and the data is not coming up.

I can call and it works very fine, but it's not going on, on the Rogers Wifi net work.

But with the original ROM from Asus, data is fast and reliable.

I'm sure it's only a minor glitch, but it's not fun.

Besides that everything is pretty fine, no bloat, not Asus APPS, it's really cool.

That was my 2cents ;)

Errors currently

Love being able to have CM 12.1 on my Asus. I do not really have many issues besides my phone sometimes randomly going to a black screen then returning to lock screen and a black screen when trying to tag on instagram. My main issue is getting the 4G icon. When i had the phone at first especially when it was fully stock os and not rooted, I only got up to H+. Never saw a 4G icon to show that i was running on lte. I mean it isnt a large issue but I still see it on the cm 12.1 builds. I have At&t and live in the GA,USA. Anyone have a good APN that does well or any tips. Should I install the Xposed Module and so forth?

Google Play Music Bug

Found a bug with the June 30 release, don't know if other are experiencing it as well. Google Play Music intermittently refuses to play audio thorough the phone speakers. AudioFX would randomly crash when attempting to play music in Google Play Music. I had AudioFX disabled, and enabling it seemed to get rid of the issue.

With regards to the mobile data, it seems that once you get it working it stays that way for the most part. It's never worked perfect for me out of the box and I couldn't even tell you the steps I did that actually got it working ( it could even have just been time ).

I wish I knew more but I just thought I'd mention that mobile data can work.

Everything is working perfectly smooth......

But camera is getting worse with every update.....

That's weird because the only semi-recent commit that would have effected the camera was 5 days ago, when the first nightly was released, from what I can see.

This has nothing to do with your ROM or the phone or the APN. This is strictly a back end AT&T issue. This happens when you use the ZF2's IMEI to get a SIM card for it. You'll either need to A) use the IMEI of a phone you know gets LTE to get a new SIM card or have your current one configured for LTE (call AT&T for that) or B) Call AT&T, explain the situation, and ask them to roll back your SIM configuration to a previous phone that did have LTE. For instance, I had a Moto X on my account. I asked a rep to just roll back my account so it thought I had the Moto X again. Now in their system I have a Moto X, which is provisioned for LTE, but I've put the SIM in my Zenfone 2.

If you need an IMEI to use, you can just go up to any AT&T store and get the IMEI from a display phone. Just go to the nearest S6, get the IMEI number, and tell them you need a new SIM card with that IMEI. You are under no obligation to physically give them the phone.

It seems like the solution has been to randomly click buttons any button that has to do with data until it turns on.

Running 7/30 version - it's smoother, battery is getting better. At first no sim, so rebooted, all is good... love in it

Running 7/29 on a fresh phone. Used stock just long enough to confirm it worked as a phone. Updated firmware, unlocked bootloader, installed TWRP, and flashed ROM in under two hours with all the great resources here.

Have to say it's very polished for such an early release - credit to all the developers making this possible. My biggest "complaint" is the camera. Looking forward to watching this continue to develop and contributing where possible.

CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.1.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>

    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
     *
     */

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

    Instructions

First time flashing CyanogenMod 12.1 on your device, or coming from another ROM?
    Download the zip(s).
    Install a compatible Recovery
Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
Wipe data & cache partitions of your device (required when coming from stock!).
    Flash CyanogenMod.
Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

    Broken Features / Known Issues

    • audio lag in some games
    • dialer shows an ugly screen on incoming calls
    • drm support is broken (e.g. play movies)
    • package manager sometimes installs x86 libs when it needs arm libs (causes some apps to not work at all)
    • selinux enforcing mode
    • sim 2 cannot be disabled
    • sim 2 audio quality issues when also on a call on sim 1 (unconfirmed)
    • USB UMS (Mass Storage) - Killed off for now, MTP works just fine

    Other Issues?

Before posting on this thread, make sure of a few things:
You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates me more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking or ask the same question over and over again.
If you are the only one having a problem. Boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
Make sure your post is relevant to this thread. "I'm having problems rooting/unlocking" is NOT relevant here.

As the Zenfone2 has multiple models from multiple countries please include the following information in your report:
    model #
    CPU Speed / RAM Size
device state when errors occur (BT/wifi/nfc on ? On a call ? sitting idle on shelf ? )
method to reproduce if you've found something consistent

    FAQ

    Does Official TWRP work?
    * Only if they have the device called Z00A. As of the initial release the official TWRP did not but will likely soon be named properly.
    * If it doesn't work, arecovery from the OP.

Can I use a custom kernel with these builds?
    * No, there are no custom kernels build based off of our source tree, using our defconfig and which contain the proper ramdisk.
*Also, doing so makes any feedback useless to us because the kernel and the ROM are a complete package and changing part of that means you may have broken something beyond our control.

Will this be an Official ROM?
    * When all the show stopping bugs are fixed and all the upstream commits are merged, yes.
    * Until then, no because CyanogenMod has very high standards for accepting new devices.

What about the Z008 aka ze550ml?
    * Right now none of the developers who are working on the development own one and therefore we can't support it.
    * One of the developers working on this said he was purchasing one (even though he already owns the ze551ml). When he gets it and has time to work on it we may see it. Without us owning the device though, there will never be support for it.

Do I need to unlock the bootloader?
    * Yes.

It's "all hands on deck" for M bring up at this point, as soon as M is up and useable we'll revisit any pending issues including BT. Keep in mind both crpalmer and myself support multiple devices so our time is split between them.

We've seen M boot on this device but no where near useable yet, all the things are very much broken. More updates when things work more better.

For tomorrow's build I have added support for the touch screens GLOVE MODE feature. With cooler weather approaching, and a timely example dumped in my lap, it seemed like a good time to add this. Look for new setting under language & input settings, labeled "High touch sensitivity".

Also I've started work on a full control panel for the screen-off gestures. I mostly plan to follow the stock gesture actions, anywhere I can't I'll try to add something useful.
