Unable to root using the usual methods, kingroot, adb etc. So I thought I would try to revert to an earlier rom which might allow root. Went to Lenovo developer site and entered phone serial for unlocked image to be sent.
However it fails to unlock phone. Permissions on phone are set, usb debug, and unknown sources.
First attempt was with some apps installed. Second attempt was immediately after factory reset, with no wifi or phone access enabled.
